Unquestionably, Sandy City offers some of the most majestic mountain views in Salt Lake County. During the fall months, as the crisp air moves in, it’s like watching oil paint dripping from canvas as color rolls down the mountainside. 

In the far east mountains of Sandy lies a community of mid-size and larger luxury homes branching off Wasatch Boulevard. Homes in this area were built from the 1980’s to present, many of an earlier year having been fully renovated. Lots sizes average .24 -.33 acres. This area is also home to Pepperwood – a gated community offering large half acre lots, pool, clubhouse, and tennis courts. Other communities include Willowcreek – a golf course community with stunning views and mid-sized homes to luxury homes, and Dimple Dell Community, offering homes which large lots. Many of these lots back open space and allow horses.  

Sandy is composed most largely of established neighborhoods of suburban lifestyle. Homes are primarily single family, but townhome options can be found. In Sandy, buyers get a larger lot and home of more recent design for a lesser price than north of this area. Drive time to Salt Lake City averages 20 -25 minutes. The drive up the back of Wasatch Boulevard is so beautiful you won’t mind the commute. 

Community & Lifestyle

Sandy City lies in close proximity to Little Cottonwood Canyon for some of the best hiking, biking, skiing and cross-country sport across the United States. But recreation is not all these canyons have to offer. During the summer months enjoy music by local bands and musicians on the outdoor patio of Albion Grill located in Little Cottonwood Canyon. This is a fun event paired with the Wildflower Festival in July. Oktoberfest is held August through October. This seasonal festival brings community together for the best in German food and local music. Little Cottonwood Canyon home to Snowbird Ski Resort. Here, in the off-winter months visitors enjoy yoga classes and workshops, guided hikes and tours, and an array of fine dining options with awe-inspiring 360 mountain and valley views. Residents living in the areas surrounding Wasatch Boulevard have immediate access to countless recreational spots, such as Dimple Dell Regional Park, and Bell Canyon Reservoir Trail. The Real Soccer Stadium is in Sandy City Center.

Dining Options

Sandy City offers easy access to a plethora of chain and some local dining options. Local favorites include Cliff Restaurant where patrons enjoy a posh city design with indoor /outdoor dining and lovely valley and mountain views. Other favorites include Porcupine Grill, located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Garage Grill, Goodwood Barbeque Company, Tiburon Fine Dining, India House, Even Stevens, Wasatch Broiler, and Tsunami Sushi Restaurant. .
