South Jordan is located on the southwest side of Salt Lake County and is well loved for its family friendly environment, offering much in way of entertainment and conveniences. Diverse housing options are in abundance including townhomes, condos, and single-family homes.
Daybreak is a planned urban community in South Jordan, and a one-of-a-kind location. This walkable community offers widespread trails, lakes, beaches, open space, children’s playgrounds, and rec-center. Each neighborhood within Daybreak also has its own pool and clubhouse. Glass House, the yoga and meditation center can be found on the south side of the community. Anticipate events to bring community together in Daybreak. The amphitheater acts as a space for local musicians, festivals, and farmers markets. This community gathering center is located directly across the street from local restaurants and the neighborhood bar and grill. Daybreak is in process of building the largest public park in the county, along with art center and additional local business options. Trax Transit runs into downtown Salt Lake, directly from Daybreak Community. Housing includes contemporary, Victorian and seaside designs in townhomes, condos, and single-family options. Lot sizes average from .06 - .18 acres. This is an HOA community with fees ranging from $129 - $450 per month.
Greater South Jordan is composed of existing neighborhoods and newer construction neighborhoods. Homes built prior to 2008 offer larger lots averaging .25 - .50 acres. The newest construction homes built from 2013 forward tend to have smaller lots averaging .14 - .25 acres. In South Jordan buyers get more bang for their buck in newer homes, and overall, larger lots. Drive time to Salt Lake is 20 -25 minutes and can be accessed by Mountain View Corridor or Bangerter Highway.
Community and Lifestyle
South Jordan offers many family fun activities. Shopping, dining, and entertainment options are in abundance. On the weekend go biking with your kids on the seaside trails at Daybreak Community. Visit Mulligans for mini golf and batting cages. Say hello to the sharks and penguins at The Living Planet Aquarium. Gardner Village is a lovely and quint community gathering spot in a country setting. Here find boutiques and artisan vendors in each of the tiny homes dotting the cobblestone pathways. Gardner Village holds Easter and Halloween Festivals, and summer through fall farmers markets. There is also a restaurant, two custom furniture stores, and a petting zoo of rescued animals for the kids. Gardner Village offers don’t miss events!
Dining
South Jordan offers several local options and a plethora of chain options for your dining pleasure. Two local favorites are located inside Daybreak Community across the street from the community gathering center - The Porch Restaurant and The Break Sports Grill. Both offer indoor / outdoor dining space and mouthwatering entrees and appetizers. Himalayan Kitchen, Saffron Valley, and Tiburon Fine Dining are all located just Outside of Daybreak Community, in The District Shopping Center. Other favorites include Marker Street Gill, Tsunami Sushi Bar, Thai Basil and the Pie Pizzeria for the best pizza in the state - all located in greater South Jordan.
